After chapter 1-5 of flies, what do the think the author is saying about our species? Is there hope for us? Can we trust people to be good?

I think the author is trying to describe the history of civilization. He also tries to show that our species can be good and evil . He shows that our species is possible to learn things and figure out problems by themselves . Even though it sometimes takes time to figure some things out our species can do it. He also describes that people maybe all came from the same origin but every single human develops in a different way . Everybody looks a different way , has a different voice , a different character and when everybody is different obviously not everybody is going to get along . He describes our species also stupid in some parts because the children keep thinking that there are monsters which is completely wrong because monsters don't exists . You also have to realize that he is not talking about the whole species of us because he is only talking about children not adults .

I think that there is definitely hope for us . People have been developed and improved in every way the last hundred of years . Also the children in the story have hope . They might don't have any adults but the find a system after a time and choose a leader . They also manage to get food when they choose hunters .

I think that we can trust people to be good a lot , but not always . You always should watch who you trust and who you don't trust . Especially in the situation with the boys on the island they only know each other for a couple of months . If i was one of the boys I would only trust the people which also trust me . People in general are good but there are always some people who are fake or just want the worst for you . I also think trust is a decision which you have to make out of the bottom of your heart . If your heart tells you that you can trust somebody then trust that person .
